Part VI: Cemeteries in the town of Potter

Southerland Cemetery: Notes

Southerland cemetery This small neighborhood cemetery was maintained by the Oswald family for many years, on whose farm it was located. It is in the woods along a hedgerow some distance from the long driveway leading up from the road, and is now overgrown with myrtle. The stones are in relatively good condition, but it seems likely there were once many more than remain today. The cemetery is now nearly invisible from the road and inaccessible except by crossing private property and farm fields.
