This account was taken and settled from vouchers produced by the administrators before the surrogate this 4th day of November AD 1807 the result whereof is that the personal property of said deceased is insufficient to pay his debts and that real estate of said deceased must be sold to the amount of 527 Dols 65 ½ cents.

The People of the State of New York by the Grace of God free & Independent to Arnold Potter Esquire David Southerland and William Holten of Augusta in the County of Ontario Greeting:

Whereas Hannah the widow of William Hall late of Augusta aforesaid deceased hath made application to our Surrogate of our County of Ontario for her dower in the real estate whereof the said deceased was seized in Augusta aforesaid and you have been selected by our said Surrogate as fit persons to set off her dower in the said Real Estate. Now therefore we do hereby appoint you the said Arnold Potter, David Southerland & William Holton being freeholders of said County to apportion unto the said Hannah by fit meets & boundaries one third of the said real estate and to report your proceedings in the Premises unto our said Surrogate with all convenient speed.

Whereas by the within appointment and order of the Surrogate of the County of Ontario we the subscribers are authorized to apportion and set off unto Hannah Hall widow of the within named William Hall her dower in the real estate whereof the said William was seized. We have therefore apportioned and set off and by these Presents do apportion & set off unto her the said Hannah Hall as her dower in said real estate the following tracts or parcels of land viz.:

Thirty six acres of the East lot of farm number nine in the first range of farms in the Town of Augusta and county of Ontario aforesd.—Bounds as follows viz.: Beginning at the north west corner of said lot thence running south along the center of the highway six chains eighty three links a stake & stones standing two Rods east thence east seventeen chains fifty links from the centre of the highway thence south three degrees thirty minutes west five chains thence east two chains twenty five links. Thence north three degrees thirty minutes east seven chains thirty seven links thence east five chains thence south five chains thence east six chains seventy five links thence north eight chains seventy five links thence west thirty one chains seventy five links to the place of beginning contains twenty four acres.

And twelve acres in the south east corner of said lot lying west of and adjoining John Voughts land to be laid out in a square form.

Also fifty one acres two Roods & thirty perches of the West Lot of farm Number one aforesaid, Bounded as follows viz.: beginning at the north east corner thereof running thence west seventy four Rods to a stake & stones thence south forty two Rods to a stake & stones thence west forty four Rods to a stake & stones thence south forty five Rods to a stake & stones thence east forty four Rods to a stake & stones thence north two Rods to a stake & stones thence east seventy four Rods to the centre of the Road a stake & stones standing two Rods west thence north along the centre of the road eighty five Rods to the place of beginning.

The People of the State of New York by the Grace of God free & Independent To James Sutherland Hezekiah Wadsworth & Jabez French all of Augusta in the County of Ontario Greeting:

Whereas Orenda VanWormer widow of John Van Wormer late of Augusta aforesaid deaceased hath made application to our surrogate of our County of Ontario for admeasurement of her dower in the lands in said Augusta whereof the said deceased died seized and Whereas you have been approved by our said Surrogate as fit persons to perform the said admeasurement Now therefore we do hereby appoint you the said James Southerland, Hezekiah Wadsworth and Jabez French freeholders of said County to admeasure and lay off as speedily as may be one third part of the said lands of the said deceased as dower to be set off to the said Orenda by fit meets and boundaries and to report your proceedings to the said Surrogate with all convenient speed.

The People of the State of New York by the Grace of God free & Independent to Samuel Buell of Vernon overseer of the Poor and friend of Epaphras Safford late of Vernon as is alleged died intestate having whilst living and at the time of his death goods chattels & credits within this state by means whereof the granting administration and also the auditing allowing & final discharging the account thereof doth appertain unto us and we being desirous that the said goods chattels & credits of the said deceased may be well & faithfully administered applied & disposed of do grant unto the said Samuel Buell full power by these Presents to administer and faithfully to dispose of all and singular the said goods chattels and credits to ask demand recover and receive the debts which unto the said deceased did belong and to pay the debts which the said deceased whilst living and at the time of his death did owe so far as such goods chattels and credits will thereunto extend and the law require hereby requiring you to make or cause to be made a true & perfect Inventory of all and singular the goods chattels & credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to your hands possession or knowledge and the same so made to exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the office of the Surrogate of the County of Ontario at or before the expiration of six Calender months from the date hereof and also to render a just & true account of administration when thereunto required and we do by these Presents depute constitute and appoint you the said Samuel Buell administrator of all and singular the goods chattels & credits which were of the said Epaphras Safford deceased.
